STATEMENT

Video is an easily accessible medium that contains sound and picture. That is why I'm using it. I can use the camera as a kind of a notebook and project the image in many different ways. In most cases, I make use of a 'cheap' technology which is not hard to get.

C.V.
Born on 30 April 1974 in Slovenj Gradec.
He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he is also finishing postgraduate studies in printmaking and video.
His field of interest covers different media: painting, installations, video and music.

The video combines images from the author's immediate surrounding (playing a guitar, singing, details of paintings, drawings and titles) with media images from TV. A collage of personal and public, inner life and crowds.

The screen, horizontally divided in two parts, combines the shots from a football match with the shots of an American city from a car in motion. Even though the directions of the camera movements are synchronised, the author's slogan remains 'West - Can't Undo - East' and vice versa.
